DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM)

What is DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM)?

An organization is the handler of a message. In this position, they can either be an originator of the message or an intermediary. DKIM helps the organization to take responsibility for a message once it is in transit. The organization’s reputation is a determinant factor in seeing the message as trustworthy and fit for further handling, e.g., delivery. So, DKIM validates the domain name identity linked with a message using cryptographic authentication.

A good reason to implement the DKIM standard is to improve the deliverability of your emails. DKIM record combined with DMARC (and sometimes SPF) offers additional protection to your domain from malicious emails that may be sent on your domains’ behalf.  DMARC and DMARC Analyzer use both the DKIM and SPF to create a synergy that guarantees the best possible email security and deliverability.
